Sunshine Committee

Wouldn't it be wonderful to know that you had a wonderful, large network of friends who can help you out in a time of need?   One of the great things about the MOMS Club is that we're here for each other when things get a little overwhelming.  Times such as the birth of a baby, an illness or other family emergency can often leave you exhausted and looking for a little relief and support.  The Sunshine Committee can arrange for that support for you!  They'll arrange for meals to be delivered, errands to be run, or for some babysitting if you should need a break during your time of need. 

Monthly General Meetings

On the last Friday of every month, the membership gets together to plan the next month's activities, go over any business-related issues, discuss the service projects we are performing and to welcome new members. Kids are most welcome at the business meetings, and we try to arrange a game, craft or other activity to entertain them while we meet.

MOMS Night Out!

Activities might include dinner, a movie, bowling, or painting some pottery at the local pottery shop.  It's a great way to relax and have some fun!   And Mom...if you can't arrange childcare for this event....bring 'em along!  We wouldn't want you to miss out on the fun! 

Park & Pool Days

During the nicer weather months, we meet up at the local public pool or playground for some sun and fun!

Kids Day Out

All the kids enjoying special outings like trips to the ice cream parlor, the local firehouse, a petting zoo, train rides, museums, the library for a book reading, bounce castles for some action or picking a pumpkin in the fall.

Service Projects

The MOMS Club of Fort Lauderdale-East seeks ways to give back to the local community that has given us so much.  Each year, working with local agencies such as the Department of Social Services, homeless shelters, food banks, volunteer organizations, etc., we choose service projects that would be most beneficial to those in need in our community.
